Location: Route is 18.2 miles long and covers most of Kiawah Island

Notes:
A total of 124 deer were seen during this 2 night survey, including 37 bucks, 63 does, 12 fawns, and 12 that were unidentified. The overall density of 72 deer per square mile is within management goals.  Other notable sightings included 2 bobcats (both wearing GPS collars) and 5 different collared does from a previous research project.  Two of the collared does were captured as adults during 2002, making each of them at least 11 years old.  Additional details are provided below.
